The old Triplett School building in Mount Jackson has a history going back nearly a century. From its opening in 1925 as the community’s high school to its two decades as a firehouse from 1994 to 2016, the building has stood.
We are excited to announce the transformation of the newly restored historical building into a vibrant hub for the surrounding community. This renovation project marks a significant step forward in enhancing the amenities and resources available to local residents.
The Community Center boasts an impressive range of facilities designed to serve various needs. Among the highlights are an updated dual-use gymnasium, perfect for sports and fitness activities, and a spectacular 240-seat performing arts space that promises to host a variety of cultural events and performances. In addition, we have a state-of-the-art commercial kitchen that supports our event hall, which can accommodate up to 160 guests—ideal for community gatherings, celebrations, and more.
The center also features a Rotary Learning Lab, a dance studio, Wild Child indoor play center and several multi-use rooms, all designed to facilitate learning, creativity, and community engagement. We believe that this revitalized Community Center will become a vital asset for our neighborhood, providing a welcoming space for all.
