This page is designed to help you find answers to our most frequently asked questions regarding the services and products we offer.  Of course, if you don’t see your question below, kindly contact your nearest Holtzman Propane office and one of our friendly representatives will be more than happy to assist you.

 

Q: Do you offer 24 Hour Propane Service?

A: Yes, our service department can service and repair any gas heating system and/or gas appliance. Emergency propane gas deliveries are also available around the clock; however, we recommend our automatic fill program to avoid emergency delivery fees.

 

Q: Do I need to purchase my propane tank?

A: No, we offer leased tanks at no charge.  This option comes with the peace-of-mind knowing that Holtzman Propane is responsible for its safe operation, and should a problem develop, we will fix it or replace it at no cost to you.

 

Q: Who is responsible for maintaining my underground propane tank?

A: If you lease your tank from Holtzman, we are responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of your propane tank.  However, if you own your tank you would be responsible for the maintenance and upkeep.  While a well-maintained tank will last for many years, it's important to know where your tank is, how it works and your responsibilities regarding its upkeep.

 

Q: Do you offer budget plans or pre-purchase discounts?

A: Holtzman Propane offers Custom Payment Plans, Pre-Buy as well as Lock-in programs.

  • Our Custom Payment Plan estimates a monthly payment to cover your projected annual usage; based on the type of appliances you use, the size of the home you are heating, and your previous usage if applicable.  We offer a .05 per gallon discount when enrolled in this plan
  • Our pre-buy program allows you to allocate a predetermined number of gallons at a locked in price. There are no enrollment fees and payments are expected in advance.  Since you are pre-paying for the gallons, we offer a .05 per gallon discount. Residential pre-buy gallons are used October 15th through March 31st of each year.
  • Our lock-in program allows you to allocate a predetermined number of gallons at a locked in price. There is an enrollment fee with this program, and you pay for each delivery as you receive it within your credit terms.  Residential gallons are used October 15th through March 31st of each year.

 

Q: What if I don't use all my pre-buy propane?

A: If there are any gallons remaining at the end of the contract the credit for those remaining gallons will remain on your account.  Since there are no penalties for unused gallons, one of our experienced representatives will assist you in determining an appropriate number of gallons to allocate for your winter consumption.

 

Q: What if I don't use all my lock-in propane?

A: Since this is a pay-as-you go program, we forgive any gallons not used by the end of the contract.  Since there are no penalties for unused gallons, one of our experienced representatives will assist you in determining an appropriate number of gallons to allocate for your winter consumption.

 

Q: Do you offer HVAC service plans?

A: Yes, we offer a Comfort Plus service plan.  This plan is primarily for your central heat/air with the option of adding your water heater(s), log(s) and/or fireplace(s), space heater(s) and central humidifier(s).  This plan includes annual inspections on each covered unit, and discounts on any preventative maintenance, service or replacement needs.

 

Q: What happens if I run out of propane?

A: With our Automatic-Fill program, our priority is getting you a delivery.  When a tank runs out of propane, we perform a safety inspection on the tank and gas lines.  This service is provided at no cost to you.  Behind the scenes our office staff researches the cause of the run out and makes any necessary adjustments to your delivery schedule to ensure another runout does not happen.

 

Q: Do you offer tank monitoring?

A: Yes. Since Holtzman Propane is committed to providing excellent service, your account will be set up on automatic refill allowing us to take care of your propane needs. Additionally, we will set a satellite tank monitor that will report your real-time propane usage, alerting us when a refill is required. This phenomenal technology will give you the added peace of mind that your propane needs will always be met
